2016 is wrapping up quickly and so it is time to look back on all that has happened over the past year and towards the many exciting projects that 2017 will bring. 2016 started out with a bang as we joined the crew of Solid Ground Studios latest production A Heart Under Shadow to serve as the Gaffer. This was the fourth Solid Ground film we have worked on as well as my third film as Gaffer. Throughout the production we did everything from survive the Minnesota cold, to lighting nightmare scenes and a wedding. Our next big adventure of 2016 took us down to the 2016 Christian Worldview Film Festival where we spent a week learning more about the art of film making while catching up with many old friends and meeting lots of new people that we hope to work with in the future. We were also part of the crew for the 2015 MWCFA project that was a official selection at the festival.  In May and June we spent a week up in Detroit Lakes, MN attending the Midwest Christian Filmmakers

The end of 2016 is fast approaching and as it does we are looking back at some of the amazing projects we got to work on this year. Make sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook and join us as we throwback to those projects leading up to the release of our new demo reel on January 1.

Saturday Surprise! We are excited to share that our short film Thank You  recently won several awards at the November 2016 Christian Film Festival in Newport News, VA.

To all my followers, I am excited to announce that next February I will be working on the set of the feature film Relghim out in New York. Since the beginning of this blog I have mainly used it to give updates on film projects of mine as well as film projects that I have had some part in. However; I wanted to take a brief minute to write about a film observation I had earlier this month. One of the things I have found is that as filmmakers we can sometimes end up missing out on some of the emotional ride that a film tells. From my experiences I have seen this come about in two ways. The first being, it is a film that we worked on. Because of this we know the basic outline of how the story or the scene goes, even if we haven't see the final cut before. The second way I have found this happening is because the more I learn about film the easier it becomes to see the hints, set-ups etc. of a film. This past month I had the chance to see the movie God's Not Dead 2 with a friend of mine. This fellow friend was not a filmmaker. Sitting there in the theater watching the film that way was so intriguing/interesting

Happy Easter from Brothers in Christ Productions. We do what we do today because of what happened almost 2,000 years ago.
