A New Direction for Brothers in Christ Productions
As we continue on
working to finish production of our recent feature film project “The Faith
Line.” Brothers in Christ Productions is also going to start a new part of the
company. We are in the process of starting a part of the company that will be a
freelance video production business. Don’t worry, this will not hinder us from
making feature films, shorts or other projects of our own for God’s glory or helping other filmmakers out on there projects. We fully intend and are committed to making more as the Lord calls us too. We
do see this as an opportunity to continue to serve God and spread his word to
people. However; even though we are going into the freelance business we still
have a standard that we will uphold for the projects we work on. Below is what
I am calling our company’s covenant. This tells what we believe in so that you
know what to expect when you watch any project done by our company. It is also
a way that will help us decide which freelance projects are okay to work on and
which are not.
Brothers in Christ
Productions Covenant
1. The first commandment says that you shall
have no other gods. We believe that the only true god is the Triune God of the
Bible and will refrain from producing films or being involved in projects that
support or promote other religions. This means that the messages you see
driving the films will be distinctively Christian.
2.
The second commandment tells us not
to misuse the name of the Lord our God. Therefore; we will refrain from
misusing the name of the Lord our God and also from using vulgar and
in-appropriate language in our films and projects so that you never have to be
afraid of what your kids might hear while watching.
3. The sixth commandment states that we shall
not commit adultery. We believe that God created marriage to be between one man
and one woman. Therefore; we will not work on projects that support or promote
the marriage of same-sex couples. Likewise we believe that sex is a gift of God
that is to be saved for marriage and will not work on any projects that support
or promote sex before marriage.
4. The Fourth commandment says to honor your
father and mother. We believe that parents have an important role to play in
God’s creation and unlike media today where parents are shown as dumb and
clueless we strive to show what parents should be like to their children and
how children should treat their parents.
5. We will not have actors/actress wearing
in-modest dress in our projects that could become eye traps to those that may
be watching.
6. As the eighth commandment warns us to not
give false testimony against our neighbors, we will not make projects that will
tell lies or hurt someone’s reputation.
7.
We feel that every life is beautiful
and deserves a chance. Therefore we will not be involved in any projects that
support or promote abortion as a good thing.
8.
We work for the glory of God. We want
to be honoring Christ in all that we say and do on screen and off screen to
bring glory to him not to ourselves. It is not about how much money we make or
how many good reviews we get but about what Christ can do through the message
of the film.
